Great - You are just a few steps away from ordering that perfect gift.To get started, we first need to ask some questions.
Passenger Experience
On arrival to the venue, you will enter on one of our ticketed Drift Practice Days. Your experience voucher gives the voucher holder free entry to our practice day with a range of amenities on site. Additional guests will be charged the appropriate cost on the day, event depending, check the calendar for spectator event costs. Pop into our office and get signed in - then our staff will fit you for a helmet and we’ll get you strapped into one of our specially-prepared cars ready for your high-speed experience! Our first driver will take you for three adrenaline-filled laps of our track - powering into corners completely sideways and exiting in a haze of screaming engine and screeching tyres. Buckled in tight, you get the chance to feel what drifting is like from the heart of the action. Experience the track’s undulations, exhilarating race along the walled straight, sideways initiation into the following corner, and be breath-taken as the driver brakes heavily into our technical chicane section.
We give you just enough time to get your breath back, when we buckle you up into the second drift-prepared car. Again, helmets on and we’re ready to get back out on track again for three more high-octane laps. With a better idea of the circuit, this gives you time to understand how the driver controls the car as it glides round our grippy tarmac circuit. Passengers also get to enjoy the experience of two different cars, with two different drivers - both of whom will be hoping were the passenger’s favourite!
Passengers will return from the cars to be greeted by their friends and family who can watch and take photographs from our viewing terrace. If anyone wants to go again, or wants to get their friends to get out in the car just let us know and we can have them join in the fun! Passengers and their party are welcome to spend the rest of the day on-site to enjoy our facilities including track cafe, and can stay and watch the day’s drifting action from our public drift customers.
Whilst we always recommend the 6 laps, 2 cars experience you can also select the 3 laps experience which is performed in a single car. It is a perfect low-cost option and gives the customer a taster of life in the cockpit! 6 and 3 lap experiences can be purchased and redeemed in the same manner. Can’t wait to get you out on track!

Drift Taster Experience
A great experience for those who have no knowledge or experience of drifting or those who have played endless games of Forza but as yet haven’t had the chance to experience rear wheel drive and a welded diff. Using our specially prepared BMW 3 series cars we give you the chance to get out on track and experience drifting first hand.
On your arrival at Driftland we will get you signed on and into our briefing area. Where we will take you through your time with us by explaining the venue, safety factors, the car you will be using and some of the techniques you will be introduced to. We will explain the technical side of what you are about to experience, don’t worry if you don?t grasp it at this stage, as the instructor will also give you a live demonstration when in the car. We operate in small groups of four people per instructor/car - one person in the car at any one time including the instructor so that you really get to feel that 1-2-1 experience of drifting!!
Technique 1 - Hydro Initiation: Everyone has probably attempted a handbrake turn in a car park at some point - but we are going to demonstrate to you how to do it properly using the hydraulic handbrake setup. The instructor will demonstrate what is required then it is over to you to take the first step in drifting!! By rapidly building your speed towards the drift initiation point, you will need to decide your entry speed, initiation point and drift line. Always remember though your instructor will be sitting right next to you advising you throughout your whole experience, so no need to panic. Duration 5 minutes in car per person.
Technique 2 - Balancing the car/Throttle control: Using the technique you will have gained from the first exercise it is now about balancing the car and picking the point of where to come on throttle, this is a term in drifting called ’catching the slide’. As you will now be more familiar with the car and have a bit of confidence behind you, incorporating both these techniques whilst moving onto ’holding the slide’ should feel like a natural progression. Duration 5 minutes in car per person.
Technique 3 - Drift the corner: Now with all your acquired knowledge and surging confidence, there will be no holding you back! You will initiate a slide and drift a full corner of the track. You will have 5 minutes of practice doing this and then battle will commence. It is crunch time, you will be asked to take part in 3 judged runs and points given for each of your runs. Who will come out on top and be drifter of the day in your group!! Duration 10 minutes in car per person.
We all then head back into the briefing room for some feedback from your instructor on your experience and to find out who has won the ’Drifter of the Day’ award along with a certificate presentation for everyone.
You will also be able to have a chat with the Driftland Staff about the venue, our events and how we can help you progress into learning how to Drift!!

Beginner Drift Training
This course is designed for the novice drifter or for those who want a more intensive tuition on their journey towards becoming a competent drifter. On your arrival at Driftland we will get you signed on and into our briefing area. Where we will take you through your time with us by explaining the venue, safety factors, the car you will be using and some of the techniques you will be introduced to. We will explain the technical side of the course. We operate in small groups of four people per instructor/car - one person in the car at any one time including the instructor, meaning there is ample opportunity to explain the techniques to you further and give you a live demonstration before you switch seats to the driver side!!
Section 1
Initiation technique/Holding a slide: The instructor will give you a full demonstration on the initiation technique, how to hold a slide and how to adjust the cars position. This allows you to either increase or decrease the size of your slide radius around the marker points. Driver ability dependant your instructor may increase the difficulty level at this point by incorporating different challenges within the section. Duration 15 minutes in car per person.
Section 2
Transitions and weight transfer Techniques: This is the drifter?s terminology for changing the direction the car is moving in whilst keeping it on full drift. The transition is well known for being one of the most thrilling and sometimes most tricky skills to master! The instructor will demonstrate the effects of weight transfer on the car and how to use it to assist you when transitioning. You will be challenged to transition over variable distances. Duration 15 minutes in car per person.
Section 3
Drift line focus/Clipping points: Putting your new found skills together we will get you to drift one of the corners of our world famous track. The instructor will demonstrate a full corner of the track, showing you how to initiate the drift with the hydraulic handbrake, running the back wheels through the clipping zone. Once you are back in the driver’s seat, the instructor will get you to initiate your drift, balancing the car along the drift line using the techniques that you have been taught. Having mastered the skills of adjusting your drift line. We will challenge you to complete 5 passes of the course whilst being judged as though were taking part in a competition qualifying run.
We will then all head back into the briefing room for some feedback from your instructor on your drift programme and to find out who has won ?Drifter of the Day? award along with a medal and certificate presentation for everyone.
High Speed Passenger laps: Once the debrief and presentation is finished you will get the opportunity to go out with your instructor around the full track here at Driftland. We bring a selection of high specification cars with uprated power, body modifications and uprated steering kits to each event and get you buckled into our passenger seats for three adrenalin-filled laps. You will have a chance to see the same techniques you?ve learnt put into action on track and get a chance to realise you’ve now got the basic knowledge to help you take your drifting to the next stage.

Advanced Drift Training
If you would like intensive training at Driftland we offer this unique 1-2-1 programme to cater for any area of training you may want to develop whilst having sole use of the track. The driving is tailored to suit your experience, ability or anything specific that you want to improve on. Whether it be basic entry skills, clip based line driving, proximity training or anything else drift related that you may want to achieve. Our instructors have many years of experience in competition driving and have been tutoring at Driftland since we opened in 2013.
This private tuition package features an hour of core driving time split up into 3 20 minute intensive sessions. Between each session you and your instructor will recap and discuss your sessions. At the start of the programme you and your instructor will set goals/targets that you would like to achieve.
At the end of the programme session we will return to the office for your debrief and discuss/set goals for your future in Drifting.

If you would like intensive training at Driftland we offer this unique 1-2-1 programme to cater for any area of training you may want to develop whilst having sole use of the track. The driving is tailored to suit your experience, ability or anything specific that you want to improve on.
